Hunter is a key leader at DB Capital, spearheading acquisitions and investments across all target markets. Hunter started at DB Capital in 2019 as the Southwest Regional Vice President and opened our TX office. Under Hunter’s leadership, the multifamily portfolio in Texas saw a significant expansion with the acquisition of 10 properties across Austin & San Antonio (2,000+ Units). Leveraging his intimate knowledge of the market and understanding of emerging trends, he successfully developed a strategic investment plan that has consistently delivered best-in-class risk-adjusted returns for investors in key Texas markets.

Today he leads a strategic initiative that focuses on developing off-market acquisition opportunities. His primary responsibility involves building direct relationships with other owners and operators, enabling DB Capital to drive value through increased emphasis on direct transactions across all of its Target Markets. Additionally, Hunter plays a vital role in assisting the regional teams in creating a robust pipeline of investment opportunities.

Before joining the DB Capital team, Hunter excelled as a broker at one of the top firms in the nation. Over his impressive 6-year tenure, he specialized in multifamily disposition and acquisition for both private and institutional clients. He and his team successfully closed more than $800MM in real estate transactions. His experience in the brokerage world further enriches his ability to identify and cultivate valuable acquisition opportunities for DB Capital.

Hunter holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate from the Fowler college of business at San Diego State University. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and The Real Estate Council of Austin. Outside of his professional endeavors, Hunter enjoys an active lifestyle and is an avid outdoorsman that enjoys spending time on the lake or ski slopes with his friends and family.
